THE COTTAGE BITES EXPERIENCE

Cottage Bites was born from a journey of resilience, reinvention, and discovering my true voice. After decades in careers where my creativity was limited, my personality was boxed-in and I was encouraged to shrink myself more and more for others comfort, life took me through many challenges — including surviving stage 3 colon cancer, infertility, and loss— that taught me how important it is to find the silver lining in every moment. Those experiences reshaped my priorities and reminded me that life is too short to EVER dim your own light.

 

I reached a moment where I knew I wanted something more: a life where I could be fully myself, use my creativity freely, and build something joyful for my community. I took my love for beautiful food, bold flavors, and meaningful gatherings and poured it into a vision that became Cottage Bites — a place where connection, creativity, and confidence thrive. I wanted to create experiences that bring people together, nourish community, and empower women to use their voices and believe in their own magic.

 

When I offered my first services to my community, the response was overwhelmingly supportive — warm, enthusiastic, and affirming. Encouraged by this momentum, I turned to my dad, who has always believed in every dream I’ve ever chased. Who is a man, who never ever asked me to change or made me small. With his love and partnership, we secured the bright pink food trailer, named Pamela, in memory of my dear friend Pam Hite, who devoted her life to feeding those in need, and pushed me to chase my dreams. 

 

Over the following months, I built a devoted clientele, launched fun and interactive classes, partnered with inspiring women-owned businesses, and collaborated with my dear friend and private chef, Christin Cole of Zesti Chef.

 

Today, Cottage Bites is rolling into its first holiday season with a full menu of catered events, grazing tables, public and private sip classes, pop-up markets, and community donations. This business is rooted in the belief that positivity is survival, creativity is healing, and women can do ANYTHING when they say enough is enough, and lift one another up.

 

Cottage Bites was born from courage, community, and the choice to never shrink again — and every bite we serve is a celebration of that journey.
